What is NJPA?
As a public agency, NJPA competitively solicits and awards national cooperative contract purchasing solutions on behalf of its members, which include all government, education, and nonprofit agencies nationwide and in Canada. The NJPA helps organizations save time and money by doing most of the research and legwork associated with the competitive solicitation process. NJPA members submit one master RFP to NJPA, which analyzes the project parameters and then seeks competitive proposals from its network of approved vendors. Contract awards to manufacturers are made on behalf of that manufacturer’s authorized dealer network.
What does NJPA do?
Not only is the NJPA able to leverage its relationships with national vendors to obtain the best pricing available, it is also able to connect its members with vendors and local dealers that have demonstrated an ability to provide excellent quality and service.
“We find that our vendors exceed our members’ expectations due to the quality of vendors we have under contract and how each vendor sees the value of the contract for their company,” the NJPA states on its website.
On the flip side, NJPA partner vendors realize substantial efficiencies through their ability to respond to one NJPA solicitation and RFP that could potentially draw thousands of sales opportunities.
Why should my company or organization use NJPA?
NJPA maintains all procurement documentation associated with the projects it solicits, providing a secure paper trail for members. There are no minimum contract purchasing requirements, and members are not required to award contracts based on NJPA contracts. Furthermore, members can rest assured knowing that NJPA conducts independent internal financial audits annually.
